I had an absolutely incredible experience at Coursey Graves in Santa Rosa! From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was top-notch. The intimate private tasting was truly special—we got to tour the vineyard and tasting room while learning about their winemaking process. The setting is breathtaking, with stunning scenic views that made the experience even more memorable. The wines were exceptional! Their Pinot Noir and Chardonnay were standouts—beautifully balanced and crafted with such care. Every sip reflected the passion and expertise behind their winemaking. If you're looking for a high-quality, personalized wine experience in Sonoma County, Coursey Graves is a must-visit. I can’t wait to return!

There are no photos for this review, though photos are needed. The winery is at the top of a mountain with spectacular views. Unfortunately, we were there on a rainy day with limited visibility. I can't penalize the winery for the weather on a day that we picked. We will go back, and next time I want to make sure the day is beautiful. We chose to visit this winery due to a combination of its connections to Minnesota and a portfolio of wines fitting our palette. We didn't realize that beautiful, soft Bordeaux varietals come from this part of Sonoma. The wines are really good. The tasting introduced us to a big portion of their lineup. Also, it included charcuterie. Pairing good wine with food is very important to us, especially with Bordeaux and Northern Rhone red varietals. Our host was fun and educational. He did a great job. They have a couple of rooms for tastings, and he brought us to one with the great view. Even with rain, cloud, and fog, what we saw was gorgeous. It is definitely a place to check out.
Amazing wine and paradise setting. Highly recommended

Excellent experience! The drive up is beautiful and the Winery is very private. We went there on a Friday afternoon. The winery tour and tasting was excellent, the weather was great and the views were impeccable. The photos don't do it justice. Joanne was a great host and every single wine we tasted was beautiful. They have a great story, lovely wines and amazing views. A very non-commercial experience unlike Napa and we dig that. Highly recommended!

Breathtaking winery on top of Bennet Valley Mountain. Worth it for the views alone, but I'd be remiss for not saying how much I loved the wines. The Napa cab was so unexpected, unlike any other Napa cab I've ever had. Our host Michael and the whole team were so welcoming. 11/10 would recommend this tasting experience.

What a wonderful winery! We enjoyed tasting with our guide who was very friendly and knowledgeable. The wine was excellent and I especially enjoyed the Cabernet. The wine was served along with a nice charcuterie board. The setting of Coursey Grace is incredible and the landscaping is beautiful. Be sure to go there!

I recently visited Coursey Graves winery and enjoyed some amazing wine in a most beautiful setting. I sampled several delicious wines and went home with the rich flavored Cabernet. Before, after and during the wine sampling, the never-ending landscape was idyllic. Numerous seating areas were available to relax and take in the stunning views. I highly recommend Coursey Graves, you will not be disappointed in the wines, the picturesque landscape or the friendliness and knowledge of the staff. A truly exceptional experience.

Fantastic small winery and vineyard that goes out of the way to provide the ultimate experience and wine tasting! Exquisite views of the valley and region with a nice garden that attracts hummingbirds and creates a peaceful atmosphere. Getting to tour the caves and learn about their wine making using a variety of barrels from oak to Terra Cora and steel. Thanks Travis for making our day special!

The Coursey Graves tour and paring was a wonderful way to start off the day. The morning couldn’t have been more beautiful, which definitely accented the spectacular garden and views! We were hosted by Joanne and she was engaging as well as informative. This is the first time I’ve seen terracotta stills being used in the aging process. We left with several bottles of wine, one of which we took to dinner at Glen Ellen Star for neighborhood night.

We had high expectations; you can blame the prior place we visited. This place wasn’t great. You’ll need a code to enter a gate, one way road and very steep. Beautiful view, I will say that. The wine is overpriced IMO, the pairing is lacking they offered very few cheeses and unfortunately didn’t help the experience. We opted for a semi-private which meant we sat in a room with other folks which was nice, but if you want a private experience don’t choose this option, I actually didn’t know to expect when I saw this option. The wine seemed to need a bit more aging time- if that makes sense? I’m not a wine connoisseur but not the best wine, could smell the alcohol vs the notes which is what you want. We were pretty disappointed. Oh and be prepared to walk it’s a bit of a hike up, don’t Uber, it’s not walking friendly. The selling point is the view and landscape!

This is probably the most beautiful spot in all of Sonoma. The tasting was really nice with four tastings at a table inside (no tour), all be it pricey at $70 per person. After the tasting which was around an hour, we were hoping to grab a glass of wine and go enjoy the gardens, especially down by the little pond. When we asked if we could go down there with some wine they said no - and almost all of the other wineries sell bottles of wine or wine by the glass, so that was a huge bummer. They even have photos on their home page of people enjoying wine by their lake? They do let you explore the gardens, but they just don't want you drinking wine or eating on the property I guess. Perhaps they have a different license than the other wineries in the area, because the others let you do that. So just be prepared to have a tasting, look at the garden and go. It is absolutely an amazing garden and their Pinot is very nice! As I was flying with the carry-on, I could not take anything with me. I would have ordered a bottle to drink there with my friends if we had been allowed to. 😆

It is such a pleasure to arrive at this stunning winery. The drive up the long driveway is gorgeous and when you arrive at the entrance a host awaits you with a beautiful stemware glass with your first taste of their wine. You feel as if you are their only guest and the hosts are just waiting for your visit! Everything is personalized, from the arrival, to the tour of the winery, to the explanation of the background of the winery and the amazing gardens and Monet pond. The wines are quite good and the friendly service is very welcoming. You will want to return often.

The moment we arrived we were welcomed with a lovely Chardonnay and Joanne. Throughout the tour, joanne’s hospitality was exemplary. She answered our questions with enthusiasm and ensured we felt welcomed and comfortable. It was evident that they take pride in sharing their passion for wine with visitors. The highlight of the tour was, of course, the tasting session. We sampled a variety of wines, each a testament to Coursey grave’s dedication to quality. Overall, a lovely experience on a stunning property. You will regret not hosting something at Coursey Graves!

Hospitality!!! We did not have a reservation, but drove up to see the views (SPECTACULAR). We were greeted by Partrick who made us feel like the most valued guests even though we couldn’t do a tasting (that day… be assured we will be back). Our experience was absolutely amazing! Joanne was exceptional and explained everything very well and was happy to answer all of our questions. She took very great care of us. We had an incident and lost our keys and the whole staff was very quick to help us out. Micheal was kind enough to go out to look for them, and thankfully found them, although we wouldn't have minded being stranded there because the scenery was absolutely outstanding. We got the honor of having a tasting in the owners beautiful home, where Joanne treated us like family and pulled out cheese boards to share. The experience was worth every penny and Joanne and Micheal made it even better. Our whole group highly recommends this experience. Thank you so much for having us, we will never forget the experience.

This was our first trip to Sonoma and had seen recommendations for Coursey Graves that focused primarily on the scenery, which is absolutely breathtaking, but what we were most impressed with was the hospitality and of course, delicious wine. Our host, Michael, made us feel immediately at home. He gave us a great tour of the facility and then we finished with a seated tasting of some truly amazing wines on the patio. The Napa Cab was a highlight for us. We joined the wine club without hesitation so that we could continue to enjoy the wines from afar year round and share them with family and friends. We very much look forward to planning a return visit as well. Cannot recommend Coursey Graves highly enough!

The picture I saw of the landscaping and pond on the website was what drew me to this winery. I was looking for a special experience and I was not disappointed. From the start, Michael, our tour guide was a gracious host. He was very knowledgeable about all aspects of wine making and about the winery itself. We asked many questions and each one was answered in an honest and easy to understand manner. The tour was informative, especially in the cave area. Tasting the wine as we were touring added to our appreciation of the wine.We ended our tour in the tasting room where we sampled the last two wines that were both complex and delicious. After the tour was over, we walked the grounds and took plenty of pictures. We’ve been on many winery tours over the years, but this one was special. The views, the wines and especially Michael made this a memorable visit.

We had a wonderful wine tasting and experience at Coursey Graves. Our host, Patrick, was super knowledgeable throughout our tour of the caves and property, and the wine making process and style. The property itself looks like it is out of a painting. We were the only group there, and it felt like it was a very exclusive and private tour just for us, which was a nice touch. Of course, the star of the show was their wine. Their Bordeaux style truly shines through and they were some of the best Pinots and Napa Valley Cabernets that we have had. After a fantastic experience, we signed up for the wine club. We are looking forward to coming back for another tasting, especially outside in the garden. Highly recommend making a trip to this off the path winery.
