Shaunna and Shayla are the two sisters behind Wine Spencer, a contemporary wine brand that exists to inspire people to explore and fully appreciate the experience of great wine. The two fell in love with wine early and chose to pursue WSET Level 2 sommelier certifications.

What’s the Story Behind the Name?
Shaunna and Shayla were eager to share their wine passion with the world, so they joined forces, naming their new venture after their father’s, grandfather’s, and great grandfather’s name ‘Spencer.’
The name Spencer is a given name of British origin, that comes from an occupational surname meaning "steward," "butler," or "dispenser of provisions.” Both sisters have a strong desire to redefine what wine means to contemporary society and give it a modern significance; they do that by stewarding or guiding wine lovers as they explore their own passion for wine through shared wine experiences and insights. The name Wine Spencer perfectly fits their mission.
Meet Shayla
Shayla is a wine enthusiast with a deep appreciation for the stories of winemakers, the science of winemaking, and the culture behind every glass. She has held a WSET wine certification since 2019 and has a particular love for Spanish wines, drawn to their diversity, with Cava and Albariño among her favorites.
An avid traveler, Shayla makes it a point to seek out wine regions wherever she goes, with tasting experiences spanning Etyek-Buda in Hungary, Stellenbosch in South Africa, Alsace in France, and San Miguel de Allende in Mexico. She also enjoys domestic wine tasting in Napa Valley, Temecula, and the North Fork of Long Island.
By day, Shayla works in healthcare consulting, where she is motivated by a desire to help people improve their health and overall well-being. That same curiosity and analytical mindset fuel her passion for wine, especially the science of food and wine pairing and how thoughtful combinations can elevate both flavor and experience. Whether exploring a new region or revisiting a classic style, Shayla is always eager to learn, taste, and share her love of wine with others.

Shaunna is the co-founder of Wine Spencer, blending her love of wine, lifestyle, and curated experiences into a platform designed to make wine feel approachable and elevated at the same time. Her favorite varietal is Zinfandel, bold, expressive, and full of personality.
Married with three children, Shaunna balances family life with adventure. When she’s not at a wine tasting, exploring luxury spas or spending time with her family, her wine journey has taken her from the sun-soaked vineyards of Greece to the rolling hills of the Chianti wine region, and across celebrated destinations like Napa, Temecula, Verde Valley, and Michigan Wine Region.
Beyond wine, Shaunna is the founder of an interior design studio, Three & Me Designs, where she creates beautifully layered spaces that feel both intentional and inviting. She believes wine and design share the same foundation: balance, texture, story, and experience. Through Wine Spencer, Shaunna brings that same thoughtful curation to every bottle, event, and recommendation she shares.
